In previous years we have participated in Sport Relief’s Swimathon, which usually takes place around the end of March. It is one of our main fundraising events of the year and we are proud to announce that in 2019, we raised a total of almost £3000!

Well done to all teams who took part this year!

A special congratulations to Team USeaL, for raising the most money overall! 🙂
More recently, UCL Swimming Club have also been privileged to have the opportunity to volunteer with Starfish Disabled Swimming Club. Based at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre, they run a weekly hour long swimming session for people with a range of disabilities across a broad age range. Please contact our Community Outreach Officer if you are interested in getting involved!
We also encourage participation in UCLUs university-wide blood donation campaign, whereby students donate blood throughout the month of March, ending with UCL Swimming’s ‘Blood for Love Ball’, from which all proceeds go to Blood Wise.
However, as a club we like to challenging ourselves and have decided to dedicate even more time to volunteering, charity and raising awareness in this coming year. That is why this year and in the future we will be taking on a variety of different projects to extend our sphere of social influence.
